How to Report Your Student's Attendance
Options for Reporting Your Student's Absence (All schools except Lakeville North and Lakeville South)
Parents/guardians have two options for submitting absence, late arrival and early leave requests for their student(s)--directly through Infinite Campus Parent Portal OR by emailing the school's attendance email. We encourage parents/guardians to submit absence through the Infinite Campus Parent Portal, as it is a convenient process designed to streamline the attendance reporting process and minimize any attendance errors.
Please only report your student's absence, late arrival or early leave using ONE of the methods listed below.

When a student is absent for any reason, the parent is expected to notify the school by email (preferred) at LMEattendance@isd194.org or by phone at 952-232-2719. Please provide your child’s name, teacher’s name, grade level, and reason for the absence.
Bus Information
Our bus service is provided by Schmitty & Sons, for more information on their services, or to contact the bus garage, please call 952-985-7513 or visit their Schmitty & Sons Website.
Visitor Information
When visiting Lake Marion Elementary, please use our Visitor Security System. This system allows students, families, staff, and community members to visit our schools and help ensure a safe and secure environment for all. If you plan to visit during the school day, please bring your state-issued ID, such as your driver’s license to swipe upon entrance.
There are four steps:
- Push the red button.
- Insert your State-issued ID.
- Proceed to the School Office and pick-up your printed badge and display it during your visit.
- Inssert your ID on your way out to check out of the building.
We truly value the parents, volunteers and community members who spend time in our buildings to help support our students.
For additional information, please visit the Visitor Information web page. If you are planning to have lunch with your child and would like to purchase lunch, please send a note with your child or call the kitchen at 952-232-2704 to order your lunch.
School Hours
Arrival: 9:17 a.m.
Start Time: 9:25 a.m.
Dismissal: 3:55 p.m.
Buses Leave: 4:00 p.m.
Early Dismissal
For excused absences during the day, such as for doctor or dental appointments, students are expected to bring a written note stating the times they are to be excused. A parent must pick up and sign out children in the school office. If a child is coming late to school from an appointment, he or she must sign in at the school office and obtain an admission slip before returning to class.
